This notice explains how personal data is processed on this FaktiFox website. Personal data is information that can identify you, such as your IP address or email address. This notice covers this website; the privacy notices of external platforms also apply when you visit them.<\/p>\n\n\n

Website delivery, hosting and security<\/h2>\n\n\n

When you visit, technically necessary connection data is processed, including your IP address, time of access, requested page or file, and device and browser information supplied by your browser. This enables delivery of the website and detection of errors or attacks. Where server logs are created, they are used for operation, troubleshooting and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website. Communication between your browser and this website is encrypted using HTTPS.<\/p>\n\n\n

Recipients and service providers<\/h2>\n\n\n

Hosting and email service providers support technical operation and communication. They may process data necessary to deliver, transmit, store in the mailbox, back up and secure these services. Authorised persons access data only where necessary for handling enquiries or operating the services. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. The YouTube integration described below involves additional recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n

Contact and collaboration enquiries<\/h2>\n\n\n

When you contact us through a form or by email, we process your contact details and message to respond. The contact form requires your name, email address, subject and message. The collaboration form requires your name, email address and message; company, project type and budget are optional. The form cannot be submitted without the required fields. There is no general obligation to provide personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n

New form submissions are transmitted by email to info@faktifox.com. They are not stored as enquiry records in the WordPress database. Emails and subsequent correspondence may remain in the mailbox and associated backups. The form does not send an automatic reply to your address. Please avoid providing sensitive details that are unnecessary for your enquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n

Enquiries concerning a potential or existing contract are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other form enquiries are processed on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a); direct email enquiries are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f). You may withdraw consent at any time for the future by contacting us using the details above. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.<\/p>\n\n\n

Protection against form abuse<\/h2>\n\n\n

The form checks a security token and a spam field hidden from ordinary visitors. To limit repeated submissions, a server-side counter uses an identifier derived from your IP address with a secret key. It contains neither message text nor the plain IP address. This identifier is pseudonymous, not anonymous. The counter expires one hour after the last counted attempt; expired records are removed during technical cleanup. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse. No external CAPTCHA service is used for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n

YouTube listings and thumbnails<\/h2>\n\n\n

Our server retrieves recent uploads from the public YouTube channel feed without forwarding visitor IP addresses. Thumbnails, however, load directly from i.ytimg.com. Google receives your IP address and technical connection data when an image loads, even without clicking a video. The images are configured to suppress the referring page address. No YouTube video player is embedded here. Clicking a video link takes you to YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n

For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may also process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. See Google\u2019s privacy policy<\/a> and its international data transfer information<\/a> for processing, retention and transfer mechanisms. Thumbnails illustrate our published content; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR is relied upon for that purpose. YouTube\u2019s rules and your account settings apply when you visit YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n

Cookies, fonts and analytics<\/h2>\n\n\n

The FaktiFox theme and YouTube feed plugin do not use analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and the website logo are served locally. Language selection uses separate page links. The public forms do not require their own cookies to store your details. WordPress uses technically necessary cookies for signed-in administrators, including login and session management. Where access to the device is strictly necessary for this purpose, Section 25(2) TDDDG applies; subsequent processing relies on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This does not change the external YouTube image requests described above.<\/p>\n\n\n

Retention<\/h2>\n\n\n

Retention depends on the purpose. Contact correspondence is needed while an enquiry is being handled and reasonable follow-up questions are expected. Further retention may be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical logs are needed only for as long as required for operation, troubleshooting or investigating specific security incidents. Backups follow the relevant backup and overwrite cycles. There is therefore no single deletion period that applies to every category of data.<\/p>\n\n\n

Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Article 21. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in your place of habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR). This website does not use automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects, or related profiling.<\/p>\n\n\n
